Bolívar is a custom typeface family designed for the mass communication needs of the Colombian insurance company Seguros Bolívar. It is a superfamily consisting of 20 styles, created to perform across different content hierarchies and a wide range of communication platforms.

It features a complex system of variables that addresses all of the brand’s communication requirements, from immersive body text to editorial headlines and advertising applications. Its design is based on principles derived from humanist typographic styles while incorporating characteristics of neo-grotesque typefaces, resulting in a classic appearance with contemporary traits.

The family includes both normal and condensed width versions, which work together in a highly versatile way across different types of content and communication platforms. The character set supports multiple Latin-based languages and includes currency symbols, ligatures, iconography, and all the necessary glyphs for effective and expressive brand communication.
