Created for a short film of the same name, Miquitl is an all-caps display typeface inspired by the opening titles and credits of the Mexican film “Macario,” which were hand-drawn at the time by letterer Nicolas Rueda. With a wide variety of discretionary ligatures, Miquitl is designed so that its credit text takes up as little screen space as possible without sacrificing content.
